This song is a good metaphor for all the nasty
environmentalists have to endure.
As in what it’s like when every swing of a fist
eliminates another endangered species…
As in what’s it like when everyone talks about
how they never throw a punch and
greenwashing makes any well deserved punch legitimate,
at least as long as no one’s looking?
About how fists wildly flying frantically
unknowingly swinging… everything that’s living
turned to dying. And we’re suppose to keep speaking
out for the ecology we’re all killing?
And we’re suppose to survive this amidst this ourselves?
We’re suppose to encourage others to truly care
about restoring ecosystems so they too can get
punched in the face again and again…
Is that really how we’re gonna live, like how they live in this vid?
