the first year I was here
they bled the lake and
gave it a transfusion
the second year I was here
they isolated the beach
to keep lake water out of
the lake water we were in
the third year I was here
lakeside families with emerald lawns
complained about all the scum
the fourth year I was here
sarcomas of algae effloresced
so they decided to build a pool
